Ooh, interesting theme!

In the interest of me never winning (a far-flung hope at any time), I think I'll state that my choice would be to set it as science fiction in the style of Chaucer. Was it Chrispy who managed to terrify everyone with his win once?

I may live in Yorkshire but I'm a Scot
You mean his in the style of Kipling?
I rather enjoyed it, although rumour has it some people are still having therapy.

If you really want to terrify people, how about murder mystery in the style of Babara Cartland.

I had to look up Barbara Cartland. A romance writer so not that surprising that I hadn't heard of her. But what my eyes go wide was that she wrote 723 books and sold 750,000,000 books and some sources say the sales were in the 2 billion book range world wide.

The cynics amongst us would say she actually wrote only one book but she had it republished with changes of name and location 722 times... ;)

Bowler1 strolls on to the thread with his favorite pitchfork.

I'm not the obsessive type, so I've no idea what to do with this theme.

Now if it were pitchforks, well... that would be different. I'll go practice my pitchfork moves and see if anything comes to mind.

@JS Wiig .... Beta Polari .... A story which makes us consider the question of the difference between a long obedience in the same direction and an obsession.

@Victoria Silverwolf the universe is going to be full of quack healers in the future, nothing new here.
@THX1138 i hope if I close my eyes not to see Chucky.
@Astro Pen youthness is overrated, remember all the stupid things you did at that age?
@Guttersnipe Was the name of the neighbour Bobbit? Lorena maybe?
@JS Wiig quoting a poet “It was when it was not seen, today we see it and it is not”

I hope my acid comments doesn’t upset anyone, I had fun reading your stories.
