The edge of the world. Yes, really.
The scientific community have pretty much universally said that life requires water. If that water is on another world, and confirms that life - any form of life - exists or has existed, then it confirms life is not exclusive to Earth. The implications will be as huge as it gets. If there is/has been life here, then the universe must be teeming with it.
 
I took these a few months ago - not much, I've only got a 70mm refractor and am a relative noob to astrophotography, but it makes me think: The first is with a lower exposure to show the cloud belts .
