I woke up this morning and I chose SCIENCE. Now I have a new website at www.tobyfrostauthor.co.uk.

Join the mailing list and get three free stories and a (monthly) newsletter about what I'm writing.

"A Gift From Pagalia" - Two courtiers plot to assassinate a rival in the Renaissance fantasy setting of Up To The Throne.

"A Day in the Service" - In the world of The Imposters, novice spy Richard Cleaver and his android minder, the terribly proper Helen Frampton, deal with botched handovers, corporate assassins and a large number of woolly rhinos. As you do in the interplanetary Secret Service.

"Sentimental Value" - Master thief Giulia Degarno is hired to return some compromising letters to their owner, by any means necessary. But the money's too good, and the employer too innocent, for things to go smoothly...

It's working, Toby. I just purchased Space Captain Smith. Who could resist that blurb?

Thanks for letting me know. I'm not exactly sure what to do about that: at the moment, most of my audience are in the UK, then the US, so it's a tricky one.
Then you may be fine to leave it untouched.
There are tech solution for universal buy links; I use Books2Read. Don't know about the others.

Slightly weird random question for anyone who's read it: what is Up To The Throne like in terms of genre and similar authors? It's set in a mock-Renaissance city, with gunpowder and a small amount of magic. The lead character is a thief/assassin type, who is already established (so not a coming of age story). There are murders and swearing, but it's probably at the lighter end of grimdark. I think of it as a noir thriller, which doesn't place it in fantasy terms. The closest things I can think of are the computer games Thief and Dishonored.

"Grimdark" doesn't quite fit, but is close. "Dark Fantasy" seems to be vampires and sex. I'm not sure what "Flintlock Fantasy" is (it might be Napoleonic). Any thoughts appreciated!
