Shifting POV

To me, it seems like there should be more of an omniscient perspective whenever the two protagonists are together, unless it's critical to the story that they're hiding things from each other. When two protagonists are in the same place, it feels artificial and a bit unecessarily awkward to only have access to one viewpoint.
