Well, it is probably encorporating a lot of existing ideas, but they've designed a circular building. At first I thought it was a new sort of giant turbine, from the name, but it is a wind cooled building, with solar power, rain water capture and the like - all from materials local to Roterdam and designed so you can take it apart and reuse the bits. So quite cool. I'd like to find a webpage with a bit more technical detail, but so far so intriguing
 
That was 2016. And after that it became really quiet. It's not an entirely dead project, I believe.

I love how futuristic it looks. Genuinely like something from the future we were promised.

I wonder how practical it is from a usage standpoint. There looks like a tonne of unused space for the footprint. Plus how does nearby buildings affect energy production and cooling? Air turbulence must have quite an impact on efficiency.

Hope it works and I get to see it though!
