Wax Crayons in an interesting box

Being primarily an artist, and always experimenting with materials, I picked up this box of vintage crayola wax crayons in a charity shop, But I am intrigued by the box they were in,
Philograph Publications seem to have produced educational materials in the 60s and 70s but I cant find anything about the
"Shirley-12 Decorative shapes" (576 pieces)
Any of our older members remember them from school?

Before my time, but I do love seeing sturdy bits of packaging that are still useful years or decades after they were made!
