Sounds like you're looking for epic fantasy series with big worlds and multiple POV characters.

There's already a bunch of epic fantasy authors suggested, I'm going to add a couple of suggestions that include some steampunk/tech but are still mainly fantasy - definitely not science fiction.

Check out the "Psalms of Isaak" series, by Ken Scholes, first book Lamentation. 5 book series.

Also the "Shadows of the Apt" series, by Adrian Tchaikovsky, first book Empire in Black and Gold, 10 books but the first 4 can be considered a complete story arc.

It's not exactly brand new, but Tad Williams' Memory, Sorrow and Thorn books are very good epic fantasy.
