The Stupidest, Silliest , Worst Most Inane Aliens , Monsters and Creatures of all time.

That tv show was psychotic.
H.R. Puff and Stuff and The Pink Panther Show was a good start for a Saturday morning, which was already 20 hours into a 60 hour week end of non stop partying designed to erase the impressions of the Monday through Friday 7 to 3:30 grindstone.

I loved both those shows , they were so off the wall.

By the way, have you ever seen the 1967 Spiderman series ? One of the animator /producers was Ralph Bakshi . It was a terrific show and a bit off the wall in terms of animation style and story telling . :)

Saw Ralph Bakshi's movies in the theater. Missed early Spidey, but remember Speed Racer, maybe because it was on in the afternoon run of cartoons.

As a kid I watch Speed Racer as an adult, I can't stand the sight of it.

StarBlazers I loved. I haven't seen the new version except for some clips.

Reptilicus The monster looked live a really really bad muppet . :D

It’s difficult to beat Robot Monster

What do mean Hollywood hasn't gotten around rebooting this classic of science fiction ? Or how about a sequel ? They could call It The Return of The Outer Space Scuba Gorilla . :D

And in the Cars 1984 Music Video You Might Think, A clip from Robot Monster was shown and they also had a stand in for Scuba Gorilla. :)

This was the Spiderman I grew up with as a kid. The theme tune was very memorable...

"Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can..."

It was really weird often surreal tv series. It had good episodes and some really downright silly ones , but even at its worst ,it was entertaining stuff. ! :D One of the sillier episodes was when Spider man battled Sky Boy. He an anti gravity suit which enabled him to fly. The helmet he wore looked like a very large blender.:D

The Beast From Haunted Cave 1959 ptducved by Rodger Corman film. You see the monster until the very end and will good reason because this decidedly low budget, sadly written, badly n't acted film could afford to build a decent monster costume.

This movie is a lot of fun. It actually has a few pretty creepy moments.

It also has one of my favorite deadpan humor moments...one of the characters, a girl with psychic powers being mind-controlled by the aliens, makes her way to the mountainside observatory where people are taking shelter and says to the graduate student who lets her in, "I must go up the mountain!" By this point in the movie, everyone knows horrible aliens are killing people and doing other weird stuff, and the graduate student just looks at her and says, "I don't think so," and guides her into the observatory where she can be kept safely under lock and key. :)

Signs has the stupidest alien ever

Let me get this straight. You have the technology to travel billions of miles to get here, but you won't wear a waterproof suit?

Hey Bob, we're sending you to that highly toxic planet over there. There are highly corrosive toxins literally dissolved in the atmosphere. The inhabitants have machines that spray this stuff everywhere. They literally drink this stuff. But, we need you to walk about the planet completely naked for, um, errr, reasons.

Even Paddington Bear had a hat and rain coat. And he like baths.

re: Signs...

It was a shame. The film has some truly scary moments. And then, at the end, I'm thinking..."Water? Their weakness is WATER!?"

The only way this makes any kind of sense would be if the aliens were really some kind of demons (which would fit with the whole plot of the former minister regaining his faith), which means you can get away with things not making sense scientifically. But I don't think this is ever mentioned as a possibility.

In fairness, I think it is completely reasonable that their other weakness is baseball bats. :)

He comes up with interesting story idea, but doesn't seem to know what to do with them.

This film is a cultural treasure. :)

One of my favorite quotes: "That bird is extraterrestrial...it comes from another planet!"

The same could be said for the such chime classic Missile to the Moon

My favorite line in that one "Gary stay out of the Sun ! " But , poor Gary didn't listen and was cooked in his spacesuit and reduced to slightly charred cheap looking human prop skeleton.:D
