Warp Bubbles

I just love those folks at DARPA
 
The discovered warp bubble is tiny - they were investigating the Casimir effect at the time. It'll take a heck of a lot of engineering to be able to use this technology on human-sized spaceships!

Edit - I do mean engineering and not science!
