Favorite Short-Lived TV or Streaming Series?

The Borgias could have had one more season. Also Victoria, though to be fair it did get through her younger and presumably happiest years.

Borgias was very good, and they really ought to have wrapped it up with a final season, or at least feature length finale.

These days with tv and streaming channels having bucket loads of cash, they ought to have done the decent thing and gave audiences due respect instead of leaving them mid-story.

Two more blasts from the past:

Profit. Way before it's time - the main character is a sociopathic corporate climber who sleeps in a cardboard box in his luxury apartment. 20 years later it would have been another Breaking Bad or Dexter.

Wonder Falls. Came out the same time as Joan of Arcadia, following a related premise - animal figurines in the gift shop talk to the main character, influencing her decisions.

Police Squad! Amazingly, only 6 episodes were ever made. Obviously we got all of the mivies, but considering their success it's surprising the tv show failed so badly.

Having said that, just like with Fawlty Towers, a show like this actually improves with a limited run, allowing viewers to savour what they have been given.
