Names for TV shows - bad

I wonder who is in charge of naming TV shows in the U.S. This is occurring across all channels and streamers. I'm seeing weird, bizarre names which give no clue as to the content. Star Trek? Got it. Dead Pixels? Sorry, no. (I did look it up and thought: Not for me.)

But if your are a hard-core on-line gamer then Dead Pixels is a good in-joke. And far better than Avatards, which was it's production name, I read somewhere.
The cynic in me suggests that it probably a VP of something or other looking at the feedback report from a focus group of teenagers. Or at least that looks like how they greenlight movies...
