Hello, this was read in a collection of similar stories, the main character is wealthy/connected and having a discussion with another man about either deformities or a law change where those that don't appear fully human (?) will be affected. They seem to weigh the pros and cons.

The shock twist ending is that afterwards, he walks out into the (NYC) snow covered streets and either his long horns or antlers touch the snow as he walks.

The other futuristic short story (which may have been in this collection is about a man who has a manservant android that is said to resemble the actor Leslie Howard. They have a brief talk and the man meets his (new?) mate or girlfriend whom it appears was matched with him (by some futuristic method or service). They both appear friendly but impersonal as a couple, she has a female android servant too. Later on the couple find out that their androids fell in love and eloped.

Liked both these futuristic stories from my first forays into scifi. I hope someone can remember them, thank you.

There's a short story (?) where two buddies are jogging after a workout-- they pop out of a transport booth onto a path along the top of a mountain to another booth, and key in their destination. They discuss the fact that their number system is base 10, when they all have 12 digits...

By God, you've done it! (Piman) That's the one, thank you. Now tell me how on earth.... ?
Thank you too, Paul for the valiant attempt.

Wish I could list this as found but the other story (in the same book of short stories) is still out there... somewhere.

I am a big Sheckly fan, but I don't think the other story is in the collection of stories with the same title. And I don't know if it was anthologized elsewhere. I will look through some if my Sheckley.

Thank you all so much. Can someone please list both my posts as found? I can't edit them.

This search is listed as 'found' but it looks like only one out of the two stories has been identified.
Both stories were also asked separately, for some reason.
This is the unanswered one....

Robot Who Looked Like Me by Robert Sheckley

Looks like "surrogate" movie
