11 Songs Inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings

There's a couple that won't play in the UK, presumably due to copyright issues in the original article, but they play on Youtube if you Google them.
My favourite has got to be no.10...

The two greatest works inspired by LOTR are both missing, in their place a load of crap.
1. Stephen Oliver's peerless music for the 1981 BBC adaption of the novel.

2. Bo Hansson's peerless album dating from the 1970s.

Here's my justification. The 'girl' is the ring, the singer is Frodo. It was in the darkest depths of Mordor that Frodo finally realised he wanted to hold onto the ring - so fair, (so precious!). But then Gollum crept up and 'sneaked away with her'. i.e. bit it off his finger then fell into lava.

Now damaged forever by contact by the ring, Frodo must 'ramble on' forever as he has 'gotta keep searching for my baby', i.e. he has a ring-shaped hole in his life and he cannot settle down in the Shire anymore.
