Patrick Tilley (1928 - 2021)

I'm surprised that this hasn't been put here before. Werthead posted the news of Patrick Tilley's death on his blog.

I haven't read much of Tilley's work outside of The Amtrak Wars, which i really enjoyed and am always surprised wasn't adapted into a TV series. I meant to read Fade Out, but never got around to it.

RIP Patrick.

Had not heard of this before now.
I was an avid reader of The Amtrak Wars as they came out. I even bought the illustrated guide that went with them.
And I agree very cinematic.
As I remember it, Fade Out was a good first contact story. There were lots of diesel engines in it if I remember correctly...

RIP, I really enjoyed the Amtrak Wars when I read it. Mr Snow was the best.
