I'm looking for science fiction novels about or based on the moon.

Somewhere on this mortal coil.
I can name a couple however I know there are many more out. And with your brains you could help.

It's funny I have had a fascination about the moon since I was a kid. One book I remember partly when I was a teenager, was a nonfiction book that had pictures of the moon surface with alien craft and machines.

The two books I can name are:

The Fall of Moondust, by Arthur C. Clarke.
Artemis, by Andy Weir.

Good luck, and thanks.

You've got the two that first sprang to my mind, so I can't help you further.

However, I'll move this over to Book Discussion, as Book Search is really for those who are vainly trying to recall the title or author of books they read in the past and they're able to give some details of that book.

The Gods Themselves by Isaac Asimov
Earthwreck by Thomas N Scortia
Inherit the Stars by James Hogan

Early days...
Jules Verne "From the Earth to the Moon"+ "Around the Moon"

Earthlight by Arthur Clarke, it's one of his earlier novels (1955) so dated in various ways, but it does have some spell binding descriptions of journeys across the moon's surface, and a bizarre moonbase versus spaceship battle.
