Four starlings just went in the bird bath together and shook all the water out of it. They also hog the bird feeder leaving nothing for the other birds. If they are under threat, I don't know how.

Just resurrecting this thread as the annual Starling Pandemonium has opened on our lawn this morning.
So far we've had eleven at one time, eight juveniles and three adults, and five babies have just chased one adult the entire width of the garden, but it's early days -- we can still hear ourselves think over the noise.
