The thread title says most of it. I am too old to reach back into my HS and college days ('65-'85) for much more information.

I believe it was a short story, people live isolated on mountaintops and communicate with each other using 3D (VR) wall screens (Fahrenheit 451).

Not all of us here are so young. Ive been reading this stuff for about 40 years. :D

It could also be PDK story.:unsure:

There's a somewhat similar theme to this recent question

I saw that, and it is close, but not 'the one'. Of course, going with my memory that could be the one.

I do feel quite strongly that mountain or hill top was featured along with the isolation aspect. I also don't recall the robots.
