Philip K. Dick, the man no one listens to.

A lot of very smart people are vehemently against the development of AI.

While I realise that a true AI would probably cause all sorts of chaos, I'm a gamer at heart... They still struggle to make AI that can play by even a simple set of rules with any sort of competency... so I'm not worried.

Or would AI learn quickly enough to wipe us out first. Who knows, it's all academic :)
 
There's been many stories written about AI "helping" the human race by exterminating inferiority. As it always turns out, we are the inferior ones. The human programmed AI entity sees itself as superior. I hope in the future the programmers set up a failsafe to prevent this from happening. Shades of "Blade Runner" anyone? :giggle:
