I'm dithering about should I buy a couple of his books - about PI Cecil Younger in a remote Alaskan outpost.

Has anybody read any of them?
Reviews/recommendations please if you have.

I'd never heard of them, but that won't stop me from commenting :) I just looked them up on Goodreads and the average rating is a bit 'meh'. Genre books usually get inflated ratings compared to "literature" so if they mainly get only around 3.5, that would put me off a bit...
