I am Spartacus.

I'll announce the winning entry tomorrow after the vote has closed.
But do you want to carry on the guessing game, or shall I reveal that too.

With the 300 coming next month, we won't be running a 100, so the guessing game can happily continue if you wish.

P.S. I don't think anyone has actually guessed the red herring correctly yet.

Blast, as June 15 approached, my life got a little too busy to get back to the forum and submit an entry, not even the prewritten one I'd asked about. Bummer - I love the challenge of writing drabbles. At least I'm not too late to vote!

For me it was a toss-up between "The Me, Myself, and I Mafia" (how'd you fit so many scenarios in so few words?), "It's Only Natural" (I fell in utter love with the first couple sentences immediately), and "Switched at Rebirth".

"Switched" eventually got my vote. The last line grabbed me good and hard - what an effective tone whiplash!

I'm way too new to this community to guess at authors, though. I'm looking forward to the reveal.

It's you!
Peter.
Include that with your six other guesses and I'll mark it. :)

too busy to get back to the forum and submit an entry,
Nicole,

If you like, you can put your entry directly into this thread and we can all praise it or be unnecessarily cruel, depending on how we feel. ( :) As if we would)
You won't be in the running for the competition, but I'm sure we'd all be interested to see your work.
If not, there'll be more challenges to enter later.

So if you'd prefer to wait until the new challenges for July, that'll be fine too.
July has a 75 word challenge and a 300 word challenge but no 100 Anonymous..
The 300 doesn't have a theme and genre like the 75 and the 100 but rather a photo for inspiration. Have a look at previous challenges to see how they work.

Ashleyne joins the hallowed ranks of the Nul Point achievers.
My commiserations.
I'm afraid that, in all fairness, I have to 'out myself' as the writer of "Only the best will do"
This is because Ashleyne correctly identified me but the comment by farntfar says Nul Points

Oh dear. I am sorry. I didn't notice that one.
Ashleyne has 1 point, and now that you've outed yourself Danny, we know which one.

I think it must have been because I was so incensed at being called Farntfat. :)

Furthermore Chris has 3 correct.

Happy logic puzzles. (I suggested thisages ago. ;-))

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that

No, that can't be right. According to my Logic Grid you wrote The Me, Myself, and I Mafia.

OK here's what my logic grid says:
Ashleyne - Fill Yourselves
Victoria Silverwolf - The Dark Side of the Mirror
Parson - It's Only Natural
dannymcg - The Me, Myself, and I Mafia
june47th - A Strange Bus
Peter V - Evil of Me
mosaix - Pay Attention!
Ian Fortytwo - THE CLONE EXPERIMENTS: WHAT WENT WRONG?
chrispenycate - Supertrooper
Daysman - Clone in Law
farntfar - Double Cross
MikeAnderson - Only the best will do
Starbeast - Master of the World
Hummus - Switched at Re-birth
johnnyjet - The Changeling
elvet - No One Is Free Until the Clones Are
Cathbad - Science Wins through.

Obviously I did this before danny's confession, so there's at least two wrong ones in there.

I said earlier that no one has guessed me... and nearly everyone thinks I wrote Evil of Me. Honestly, I didn't

Robert. You now have 5.
Furthermore, despite Danny having outed himself as the authore of Only the best will do, you got that one wrong.

Pay attention. There's a good chap.

And the winner is Switched at Re-Birth by Peter V.

Congratulations Peter on a terrific story.

I'll leave the full list of authors undisclosed for a little while longer but reveal all tomorrow morning unless you ask for an extension. (Macron is agin' it.)
