Har! That Harebrained story sounds like Aesop had a nightmare about Yertle the Turtle.

Reminds me of the time, when I was but a toddler: Dad called me to come see the amazing draft coming up the basement stairs.

I didn't see any giraffe.

Gotta say I love the theme for this one!
Might try to jog something down for it, but have zero clues yet. Will regardless have a blast just reading the other entries

Going on hols in as week, so need to get on this if I can. Unfortunately not got a scooby at the moment, so will probably just do my usual of staring at a blank screen until a few random words surface and the process of accretion starts.

I just took a peek at the entries. Some good stuff already and one outstanding entry which I love... quite honestly has me feeling quite unworthy.

I so wanted to click that like button!

This looks like fun.

Have to say though, the bar has already been set very high. Will have to go away and ponder this one.

When I saw the theme, my mind went blank. When an idea came to me, I went with it, fearing I'd not get another one! Hope it pleases someone... my cat sure ain't happy about it!
I feel a cat's revenge story coming on...

I shall BEGIN to catch up .... But I'll have to be satisfied with something less than @Victoria Silverwolf's brilliant little phrases. (Sigh!)

@Ashleyne .... MUM THE UNDEFEATED .... Who are you going to call when fear grabs hold? Mum's the best answer.

@Cathbad .... Our Hero .... What do you call the spinner of tall tales? Fibber is one answer.

@Pedro Del Mar .... The Animals Went In Two By Two .... What do you call a parable? A tall tale is an interesting answer.

@HareBrain .... THE HEIGHT OF VANITY .... What happens to a sly fox and a vain king? They both get their comeuppance or is it godownance?

@dannymcg .... Outback Override. .... What do you call our hero? A villain in disguise will do.

@Cat's Cradle .... Destiny’s Banquet .... What do you call a theory which makes the villains into the chosen ones? Political expedience.

@Victoria Silverwolf .... The Escape .... What do you call the true story of a con man? A tall tale.

@Daysman .... Glasshouse .... What do you call a thief full of blarney? A weird world builder.

@elvet .... An Imagined Conversation Between a Wolf and a Pug .... What do you call manipulated evolution? A cuteness upgrade.

@L.L.Lotte .... A Mouse's Grand Ruse .... What happens when a self proclaimed super hero meets a grand liar? Only one is full of nuts.

@nixie .... New Addition .... What is the result of a coward meeting up with an imp? A pity party with some justification.

Okay, got on a roll there. I'm caught up for the moment!
