DISCUSSION -- APRIL 2019 300-word Writing Challenge (#33)

Cheer up my no-score crew, there's a good few days yet until the deadline, surely by then us eleven 'blanks' will have a vote or two, keep your spirits up. (y)

"Sing lads, sing!"
Well it's improved a teensy weensy bit... There's now only ten of us who haven't broken our ducks!

Again, too many great ideas and stories to make a long list, so here is my short list and favorites:

Riders on the Storm – Rafellin
The Guardian - Victoria Silverwolf
Maine - Cat's Cradle
Fallen Star – Hummus
Written in Stone - Peter V
STONE-BORN - Jo Zebedee
Not Forgotten - Perpetual Man
Sentience, Of All Things - Cory Swanson
The Balance of Probability – mosaix
Far From the Tree – Shyrka
The Stone-Singer - The Judge
Stacking Stones – It's Not Rocket Science - Ursa major

My shortlist & votes (in no particular order) are as follows:

A Balanced Heart, @Culhwch - Fitting finely-crafted, three-act story into 300 words is always a major achievement
The Guardian, @Victoria Silverwolf
At the Water's Edge, @Daysman
Of Earth & Heaven, @Vaz - I loved the epic tragedy of this piece. Like something from Greek myth.
Rescue Mommy, @Ashleyne
Her Thoughts Were Set in Stone, @johnnyjet
Not Forgotten, @Perpetual Man - A beautiful, enigmatic and heartful piece that really tweaks the emotions.
Sentience, of All Things, @Cory Swanson
The Stone-Singer, @The Judge

The poll will soon be over, ah well (sigh)
