Somewhere on this mortal coil.
One of my uncles introduced me to John Buchan, and from then on I have discovered some of his greatest pieces apart from The 39 Steps, and the other Hannay stories. There is the Leithen stories including my favourite John Macnab, other works include The Half-hearted, about cowardice and courage. Then there are his many short stories with their supernatural flavour. Then there is the biographies and his First World War history. Absolutely brilliant and beautifully written works.

My first was Prester John which I remember thinking was terrific, aged 9 or 10. Really should try rereading it. I think I have mixed the plot in my head with that of King Solomon's Mines.
