This is the place for the discussion of the Anonymous 108 Word Challenge.

Each story must include the phrase: Tampering with the machinery is punishable by law." and this phrase is NOT to be in the title.

The Genre is Speculative Fiction

Remember that all entries are to be sent by personal message to me, and I will post them. Good luck.

We have our first entry. I now hope for the entries to come "pouring" in. :)

Entry #2 has made an appearance. Does it look a little "worse for wear?"

Goshdarnit!

I really like the story I've wrote: But I don't seem able to get it under 173 words - and want to put several back in!!

~sigh~

take your pen and cross out every fifth word. Alternately, scratch out every adjective and add only those that keep your count under the magic 108. ~evil grin~

Entry #3 has arrived. One day we shall all rave against the machine.

Entry #4 has arrived and we wonder when the revolution will begin.

Wow parson, you've really outdone yourself with these stories. Lol

You haven't seen nothing yet!

My newest two stories tell tales of reverse engineering and someone named Pandora.

"Desperate times" -- When all else fails, ignore the instructions.

"Natural Law" -- The wheels of Mother Nature grind slowly, but they never stop.

"Last Day" -- To strike at an Achilles' Heel, you need to find someone who knows where it is.

"Diktat 23(b)" -- Reformation often turns into a new form of oppression.

"Sunward" -- Sometimes the journey home is long and hard.

"Someone to Watch Over Me" -- Must privacy be sacrificed to ensure security?

Story #7: After a hard day of work, there's nothing like Happy Hour at Lucky's Lounge.

Another new story #8 has appeared and presents a stellar defense; even without a title.

I decided that my next entry would scoff at the 108 word limit. After all who need 108 words to tell a wonderful robotic tale? Not this story!

You never know what you might find in a scrap yard. Maybe even the Law itself.
