One for the admins... although any opinions welcome.

Planetwide, planet wide or planet-wide?

When I Google it appears planetwide is acceptable (and in fact the norm) but spell checkers all suggest planet wide as two words.

When you are bang on the 75 it makes a difference

Thanks

Peter

WHAT!? A writer feeling self doubt!?

So normal!!

And here I thought you better than normal! :p
Hello self doubt, my old friend
I've come to listen to you again
Because a vision heavily stomping
Left its imprint while I was writing
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Leaving me with only silence

If it's a compound adjective, e.g. "planet-wide storm" it counts as a single word, because the hyphen is necessary.

If it's "the storm was planet wide" it's two.

Yeah, yeah, I know ...

Thank you HareBrain. It's the first case so word count is thankfully not compromised.

@Cathbad .... Unused .... Cathbad gives us a sad story of opportunities lost and roots becoming dead wood.

@D.A. Xiaolin Spires .... Glacial Embrace .... D.A. tells us a tale full of great concepts and ideas rooted in far away place.

@scarpelius ... from his blood a dragon will rise .... Scarpy brings us a fantasy world where dragons eggs are rooted in the blood of a sacrifice.

This is my 4th entry. So far, the idea and story come quickly, and usually I post it right away.
This month’s entry is done. I am just struggling with the title, and holding the story back has taught me something. Waiting is giving me a chance to tweak it, and as thrilled as I am to get the composition on the page, there is much satisfaction in pruning and nudging it into something more polished.

I copied my story to the post, then realized I hadn't thought of a title!! So, what you see, is all of 30 seconds' thought that went into my story's title. Oops!

And half of the Chrons, suddenly wonder, What the hell is Scrumpy?*

Anyone outside the UK (and not expats) answers and guesses please.

*I of course do know, being in the right area of the UK...
I believe scrumpy actually means cider made from stolen apples? Scrumping apples?

@elvet .... Planted .... Elvet turns the tables and brings us a bit of horror.

@Karn's Return .... The Root of All Good .... Karn brings us a philosophical tale that turns Christian theology on its head.
