Top 10 reads of 2018

Had a reading goal last year of 75 and, just, made it in time. Most of it was non-fiction instead of my normal fiction though. Top 10 favorites (in no particular order) were probably these ones:

1. Queen's Rising - Rebecca Ross
2. Legendary - Stephanie Garber
3. Designing Characters and Creatures - Marc Taro Holmes
4. The Art of Assassin's Creed Syndicate - Paul Davies
5. Realms - Tony DiTerlizzi
6. The Art of Dishonored 2 - Ian Tucker
7. How to Draw and Paint Fantasy Architecture - Rob Alexander
8. The Art of Dreamworks Animation - Ramin Zahed
9. The Art of Assissin's Creed Origins - Paul Davies
10. The Magestaff - Cordelia Castel

1. The Two of Swords trilogy - K J Parker (read Dec17/Jan18 I put it down as my top read last year too!)

The rest in no particular order -

Before Mars - Emma Newman
Freeze Frame Revolution - Peter Watts(some of the associated free short stories were good too)
The Mote in God's Eye - Larry Niven
Shelter(The Aftermath 1) - Dave Hutchinson
Haven(The Aftermath 2) - Adam Roberts
Dynasty: The Rise and Fall of the House of Caesar
Thin Air - Richard K Morgan

Also enjoyed some of The Company series by Kage Baker and Conn Igguldens Falcon of Sparta.

I only read 8 books last year, unfortunately. Too much going on in real life and it's much easier for me to veg out in front of the TV. I'll do a top 3:

1. House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds
2. The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch
3. Outsider by Stephen King
