It spectacularly did find the Higgs Boson, and it almost as spectacularly has not found Supersymmetry to support String Theory.

A huge contribution to human knowledge. A few years ago the LHC was never far from headline news. An amazing feat of scientfic co-operation and engineering. But it's hardly ever mentioned now -- having basically completed its main task.

Amazing science.

Most of the news about the LHC is obviously disappearing into that microscopic black hole that was not supposed to "appear" when the LHC was switched on....

Of course, if you upgrade something enough to have to change its acronym, it's gotta be serious stuff... or maybe marketing... or both!
