Paperback Novel read in the 80s about a girl living in a dystopian world

Read in the late 80s but the book was old. Probably from the 60s or 70s from my parents collection. I remember a lone girl or woman surviving by scavenging old boxes supplied by what seemed like a now derelict super computer that used to oversee the human needs. At some point i think she finds a still functionning supply line.

That sure sounds a lot like Philip K Dick's Autofac, which would have been from 1955. Was it a short story? Also, is your milk pizzled?
