One of these days, I mean to read some of August Derleth's non-weird, non-detective writing. Derleth ((1909-1971) wrote nonfiction works such as a biography of Henry David Thoreau, and attained some acclaim as a "regional" novelist, with books such as The Shield of the Valiant. This thread is for the discussion ONLY of such writings. There are already at least two threads (under the H. P. Lovecraft section of Chrons) for Derleth's weird fiction.
