Myxomatosis in Hares

It's recently been reported that this terrible disease has been found in Haresin the UK. The suffering that these animals go through is just awful and now it appears to have moved from rabbits to their cousins. This year, I've seen more hares on my daily cycling trips than any other. I hope to see many more but now I'm wondering...

I was very upset (as you might expect) to hear this on the news this morning. I can only hope it doesn't turn out to be as bad as they fear. (Kind of a default sentiment for me these days.)
