Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (2018)

My wife and I saw this today, and we both loved it! Such a different approach, and honestly it's amazing it works as well as it does. As good a superhero movie as has come out so far this year, and may just be the best Spider-man film to date.

It started off well, and I liked the animation style to start with, but it all got too crazy and stupid - to the extent where I didn't think the animation worked for the multiverse. Most of the characters were boring and/or random, and there were so many it left no room for Miles to shine (who I thought was a good character to start with). Just average in the end. I've no idea why it's so highly rated.

I watched this over the weekend. Kind of a new origin story but without retelling Peter Parker's story being retold for the umpteenth time.

I thought it was pretty good.

I loved it. Astonishing animated tale.
