For a friend:

In search of a short story (that I don't think I'm imagining): Aliens living among us, out on the town having fun, there's perhaps a car accident that intentionally kills them. The theme had something to do with the American "melting pot." (I would have read the story in the '70s, but I'm sure it was at least a decade older). I thought it was a Bradbury story, and it seems like something he'd write, but I can't find it. I also thought of Matheson and Sheckley but didn't locate anything. Does this sound familiar?

Bit of clarification please - were the aliens living among us doing so in secret or openly?
Secondly, the car accident that 'intentionally' killed them - was some enemy behind that?

Thanks

Sounds like it could be Leigh Brackett's "All the Colors of the Rainbow." Don't think they died in the crash, but there was something generally like that and definitely the right theme.
