For what it's worth, I still think that the 200 pxs ones are a tiny bit too big. Maybe HB is on to something with 150?

Also, question: in the post on forum updates you mention as sig options:

a) A single line of text that includes a link
b) Two lines of text containing no links
c) Up to 3 book cover images, each no more than 100 pixels high (or wide)

I hadn't seen that when I started messing with my sig and did a website link and book covers instead. Do you want me to change? Is this ok?

It's okay - I simply set up something as a starter guide until I got feedback as to what would work best.

I had presumed people might want to put links in their book covers - but most people might find it easier simply to add a link plus book cover images with no links. I think what you've done looks fine.

Just to be awkward, to me the 150px themselves seem a bit big. When we've got a lot of members using them they might be a tad overwhelming, even when only appearing once a thread each.

By the way, it's not a problem, but in case you need to know, Brian, the signatures actually appear in every post in Conversations.

Hmm, yes, that was my initial worry. That if we all put covers in, it might look overwhelming. I've gone back to the original 100px size.

By the way, it's not a problem, but in case you need to know, Brian, the signatures actually appear in every post in Conversations.

Okay, we can start with 100px, and then look to increase the size if the covers and titles aren't clear enough for most people. That's better than starting larger then having to go down a size, potentially upsetting Supporters.

It appears so - so far. I wonder if other members don't realize they're available? I'll have to do something to address that - firstly, by temporarily setting signatures to show under all posts instead of once per page.

Pfft! Signatures are a normal part of the internet and emails - we've always been unusually restrictive about them.

However, now Supporters get a chance to use them. And - looking at the above posts - there's nothing pushing about a couple of book covers under someone's name.

If you need any help, feel free to ask.

Just copy the images over and add any links as required.

EDIT: For example, if you'd like it in code form (with links to Goodreads pages), then copy the code into your Signature:

BTW, @Brian G Turner , have you changed the "once a thread" thing -- mine seem to be appearing now on all my posts, even ones that didn't show them earlier. I think the original restriction might be better.

I was just coming here to say HB has loused up as his were all over the place instead of once a thread! (I do hope it turns out to be very temporarily as even in the small size they're a tad intrusive with all of them every time.)
