Seems to be a lot of action. The longer trailer perhaps shows a few too many wisecracks from the hero. Should be fun but lets not raise our hopes. I don't expect anything like the standard of the original Predator but it could be entertaining.

Well I watched this on a plane. As with Predators it was reasonably entertaining.
This film actually is presented as a Predator 3 with both 1 and 2 referenced in the dialogue. It isn’t a patch on the original but has some decent jungle fight scenes.
One thing it does better than recent Alien films is stick to the history. There is some twists to what we knew before, but it mostly makes sense.
Having said all that if this was the first predator film made it would never have become the franchise it is. 3 stars.
