Britain's Got Authors

I'm imagining this as a bit like that Monty Python sketch where Thomas Hardy writes a book in a stadium, in front of a cheering crowd.

As long as it's not in a village square, in a set of stocks and faced by critics armed with rotten vegetables.

Hi,

But OMG all those sorts of shows always favour the young and pretty - I'd have to wear a paper bag over my head to even get an audition!!!

Cheers, Greg.

Unfortunately, reading/writing takes a huge amount of time compared to most other comparable endeavours. A picture might take hours to create but can be enjoyed in minutes. A large book will take 9-10 hours or even more. I think the medium simply doesn't fit a TV talent show or something comparable.
