It was a few weeks ago that I noticed the similarity between these two pairs. Ed, is imbibing hallucinogenic drugs, and having a conversation with the hallucination Cobblepot who even chides him for conversing with him because he is a hallucination!
So very similar to 5 or 6 year-old Calvin, who is therefore irrational conversing with a plush toy that is the only one of the two with any common sense!
