This may seem like a foolish question, but what is Gaslamp fantasy?

    Yes! I love it!

Anushka, check out the wiki page on GLF.

Gaslamp fantasy is Edwardian or Victorian fantasy, often with a gothic, romantic or horrific edge to it. The example used on Wiki is Bram Stoker's Dracula, and they separate GLF from Steampunk.

    Good question. Pre-electricity perhaps?

    Oh! Oh! Thank you!

I had no idea such a subgenre existed.

I was trying to remember the last time I had a fantasy about a gas light, decided it was never.

(I am so out of my league again!!)

Oh, at first I thought this was a club of people who haven't had fantasies about gaslamps. I was going to join.

Ok, not bad. A good setting for Christmas for those of us that way inclined, which is good news for Hex (As Bowler1 holsters his gun for the first time in days (I have them in hand even when I'm sleeping, but I get a good discount on new beds in the local furniture store)). I have no ideas yet, not even glimmer, but I'm happy with the theme.

i have a story in the forge but it needs a hell of a lot of hammering before it's a decent shape. still, plenty of time.

So, orc meets steampunk. Got it--no, no, stop, I don't wanna be corrected. Nop, I'm putting my fingers in my ears, like so. What? No, I can't hear you, I'm rolling with it. Bye.
