First review of Hand of Glory in.

A mixed review, but the kind that makes it clear where the book is simply not the reviewer's kind of thing, and may indeed be just what some of us would greatly enjoy. Like Brian, I'm intrigued.

Edit -- Intrigued enough, in fact, that I've just gone and bought it.

The review criticisms were pretty mannered in themselves. :D

And there was very little of that, anyway - the setting, stories, and characters seem to go down well. :)

Thanks all.
Considering Hand of Glory sits on the edge of the horror genre and isn't your "dripping red meat kind", and that Starburst is one of the top Genre magazines, to get 7 stars out of 10, even with the negatives has made me pleased as punch. As for, "being too mannered," it doesn't worry me. I spent hours trying to make the story sound, "right", to the times in which it was set. And here I was worrying about the use of the "F" word in the story :sneaky:o_O
