Jenna Coleman was great at first - remember her introduction as a Dalek? The problem was that - as with Karen Gillan - Moffat turned Doctor Who into something that was all about her, rather than the Doctor. And he didn't really have much to say, other than trip up over his own ideas.

I was thinking she had an Ace vibe about her but that might set me up for a disappointment. No other companion has taken on a Dalek with a baseball bat

Loved the exchange between the Doctor and Bill on the nature of Daleks. Mackie seems like an excellent choice for the new companion. Can't wait.
