I've been trying to locate this book for years. I can't remember a whole lot, but here's what I know:
There were 2 kids (girl and boy) that got lost in woods/a forest. There was something about cats (potentially giant cats, potentially robotic cats). They endured a whole bunch of challenges before meeting some guy at the end. The whole thing turned out to be a giant simulation to teach them some lesson, although I can't imagine what lesson that would be.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? Please help!
