I am looking for a fiction book that I read several years ago... does anyone know the book I m thinking of?
The protagonist is a boy, he has a high iq and runs really fast. I think he can project a white mental shield wall with his mind and is friends with a gymnast. Got invited to a special school and his room mates were a geek, a girl who liked to hit stuff with a big stick, and the gymnast. The setting is a snowy place, and a side plot was to find someone who disappeared.
I also recall some monsters, body guards, snowmobile chases...
