A couple of interviews with Jane Johnson, writer, editor, and head of HarperCollin's Voyager imprint:

Jane Johnson is a writer, editor, and publisher. In the ‘80s and ‘90s, she was responsible for publishing J.R.R Tolkien’s work and bringing it to a modern audience. In that capacity, she commissioned John Howe and Alan Lee’s illustrated editions of the novels. Johnson is now the fiction publishing director at HarperCollins and was one of the driving forces behind establishing Voyager, its Sci Fi and Fantasy imprint. Other authors she has published or edited include heavyweights like Robin Hobb and George R.R. Martin.

And another from earlier this year, which provides more information on her life being split between Cornwall and Morocco:

What's a modern audience? Presumably Republishing. Was it out of print then for a while between late 1960s and early 1980s or 1990s? (15 to 25 years?)

You read the first sentence in the paragraph I quoted - but if you also read the second sentence that might help answer your questions. :)
