Sequel to High Castle

I've just finished rereading The Man in the High Castle. I note that several major story arcs are left unresolved at the end, and one of these even seems to be the main one. This seems to beg a sequel but Dick never wrote one. Is one possibly being planned, as this new tv series seems to be reviving the story

My understanding is that Dick considered a sequel, but found it too bleak and gave up after a couple of chapters.

For Dick that's pretty much impossible. I've tried reading the 'Blade Runner' sequels by K. W. Jeter, and they don't live up to Dick's writing.

Little does, his writing was unique, in its thematic unity, his ear for dialogue and his understanding of cultures. Castle was written in 1963 and yet has insights into Japanese culture I don't think were widely known until only recently. It's regrettable that no one has yet tried to continue the story and I hope the tv series might inspire someone really capable if it's successful.

When I finished the book, I just could imagine any kind of a sequel.
