Thought I'd add this picture of Tombargh regio and Cthulhu Regio at sunset. Fittingly, just about everything about this landscape has left planetary geologists stumped (nice article about it here: http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2015/09/scientists-preliminary-data-new-horizons-pluto-charon-flyby/), especially the kilometers tall 'broccoli clumps' (they look a bit like cloud banks in this picture), that have no Earthly counterpart.



This'd make a great setting for some lovecraftian space adventures methinks....
