In honor of the holidays I am re-reading Hogfather. I do this with my kids every year. Any other good sci fi/fantasy holiday themed books you read?

How close is the movie version to the book?
When you know the book and then watch the film you might have the expression tzat filom is quite close to the book. But when you reread the book afterwards you realize some differences. The kidnapping of the toothfairy e. g. is slightly different. Then there are only three thugs in the film: Medium Dave, Banj0 and Chickenwire. The brother's names aren't Lilywhite but cropper. Minor parts are not in film like the king visiting the poor peasant. But you'd realize it doesn't really matter.

Teatime was played very differently to how he was portrayed in the book. In the book he was written as seeming very jovial and friendly, but in the show he's played as being straight up sinister.

The order of events is a bit different, and I felt that the reveal of Teatime's plot was badly over-explained.
