Genesis of the Daleks is fantastic. Still the best story they've told (I think they've cocked Davros up since the return).

I agree, Genesis is excellent. Davros is a truly terrifying character in his first appearance- everything the Daleks should be: ruthless and cruel but deeply cunning and even approaching charisma when it suited him. It should have been his only appearance IMO. He had the potential to make the Daleks truly scary again, with the implication that, while he was destroyed by his own creatures, his vicious spirit lived on through them. So I think it was a huge misstep resurrecting Davros from Destiny of the Daleks onward. He became a stock villain, often silly or pathetic (much like the Daleks became themselves).

It was fun seeing him comeback again and again . After Genesis is his best appearances was The Stolen Earth and Journeys End, among two of the best episodes of the David Tenant era .

I'm Team Both, all the way. Love both version of the show, though they really do feel like two different TV shows. When I'm in the mood for some New Who I'm not in the mood for Old Who, and vice versa. I do get a bit irritated by how, when you say something nice about a story from one era, people take that as a sneer at the other era and either get offended or try and rope you into their fandumb vendetta.

Ive not liked New Who in quite some time, The writing is not very good, Its become to preachy, The storylines and the whole Timeless Child crap and they wiped out Gallifrey . This really turned me offer to the new series to the pint where I have no desire to watch it.
