Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Series on TV

Svalbard, that was my first thought as well.

The Saxon/Viking series is where I started to drift from Cornwell. It's not that his books were bad, just that I'd read the Warlord Chronicles, Stonehenge and a ton of Sharpe books and wanted to read new stuff.

They did start to drag after the third or so book. I liked Uthred as a character but I still found him too similar to Derfel in The Warlord Chronicles they could have being brothers.

Think I read the first two. Still, if done properly it'll be a good series.
