The Walking Dead: immersive exhibition coming to LondonFOX is bringing an official The Walking Dead immersive exhibition and art gallery to London in February.
The show, which will be open to the public at Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane on 8th-9th February, will feature large scale interactive set recreations, prop replicas and prize-winning fan art, with the artwork in the gallery having been chosen by none other than Greg Nicotero himself.
If you pop along that weekend, you'll get to do things like visit the Governor's room and submerge your head in a tank alongside some dead walkers. Daryl’s motorbike will also be there (we're not sure if you're allowed to touch it or not, but probably we would try to touch it as you can't take us anywhere) along with live walkers and SFX demonstrations.

However, subscribers to AMC Premiere are already enjoying early access - as are huge numbers of pirate site users, thanks to a leak.
'The Walking Dead': Norman Reedus Reportedly Has Three Year Deal Worth Between $50 Million To $90 MillionThe Walking Dead star Norman Reedus is reportedly cashing in on his new top-billing with the AMC series.
Reedus recently renegotiated a contract with AMC and The Walking Dead, which is now a franchise spawning its tenth season with the flagship series, a fifth season of its spinoff show, and at least one trilogy of movies which will be centered around Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes. While Reedus is only expected to be part of the main series (for now), his new payment plenty comes with a hefty price tag for the network and the ability to move to other titles.
"Sources say Reedus — who also hosts and executive produces AMC's unscripted motorcycle series Ride With Norman Reedus — will make $350,000 per episode," THR reports. "On top of additional guarantees and advances in a deal that sources say could be worth anywhere from $50 million to $90 million."
'The Walking Dead': Maggie Spinoff in DevelopmentAmong the many ideas being talked about for The Walking Dead's expanding universe is a Maggie-centric spinoff series.
Lauren Cohan exited The Walking Dead in Season Nine, making her final appearance at the same time as Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln. The door was left open for Cohan to reprise her role as Maggie in the future but the actress is now admitting to the possibility of that return coming in her own series.
"There may have been some conversations but everything is so early days ambiguous," Cohan told THR. "Me, as much as anybody, we'll have to see what happens." Though a Cohan-lead spinoff seems to have been discussed behind-the-scenes and could technically be described as "in development," fans should not be anticipating the The Walking Dead's Maggie show just yet.
It's all a much different tune than the one which The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang sang while talking to ComicBook.com. With the show being renewed for Season 10 earlier this week, Kang's plans from last year to have Cohan return as Maggie seemed to be coming to fruition.
"I'm already working on Season 10 stuff," Kang told ComicBook.com in November of 2018. "Yeah, trying to get a little bit of a jump on it, so after I do this round of press calls today I'm actually gonna jump back in with a couple of my senior writers and we're gonna talk about some stuff, just because it's like we want to get a head start on things. But it's sort of like the process doesn't end on our side of it, because it takes about a year and a half to make a season of the show, but we always air about the same time every year, so there's always about like a half a year overlap."
While rumors have long swirled in regards to Cohan's contract negotiations with The Walking Dead and AMC as a network, the actress does not seem to be holding any grudges having graduated (if only temporarily) to her new Whiskey Cavalier series. "I don't even think that it was bad," Cohan said. "It was like, I've done the show for a long time. It was a long time to be in any character and sometimes you just get quiet and listen to your inner-guidance and it's time to multitask."
Cohan also won't reveal any definitive answers as to whether or not she will be returning to The Walking Dead. "We'll see what happens," Cohan said.
'The Walking Dead': Danai Gurira May Not Return for Season 10The Walking Dead may lose one of its top stars in Season 10 according to recent reports.
Gurira's contract is scheduled to have run its course with Season Nine's finale. While the AMC series did not take steps in terms of the show's narrative toward Gurira not returning to her role as Michonne with the coming episodes, a deal has not been reached to bring her back for the recently announced 10th season. ComicBook.com had previously reported on After the Dead that Gurira's contract expired with Season Nine, but a new report details question marks around her future.
"Danai Gurira, meanwhile, was in prolonged negotiations with AMC that were further complicated by her status as a breakout actress with hits under her belt including Black Panther," THR reports. "It's unclear if she has signed a new deal to return. AMC did not immediately respond to The Hollywood Reporter's request for comment about Gurira's status for Season 10."
Maggie will be back -- on ABC in Whiskey Cavalier, Feb 24
From what I've read, Cohan had multiple offers after she and AMC failed to come to a pay bump agreement. A guy-girl cop relationship show as her choice seems questionable, but maybe the thing will have legs. I'll give it a try.Have you seen that recent movie, which name fleets my mind? If you have you'll understand that AMC put a lot of money to train her over the years, and it really shows. She acts so convincingly a woman that you don't want to cross that I started to believe it's in her blood, until I realised how much they'd trained the crew.
She has a reason to want more, because she know how good she is as it has been quite evident in the series. ABC must have made a good deal to acquire her in their series.
'The Walking Dead' Ratings Rise, Rock Solid Post-RickThe Walking Dead saw an uptick in ratings on Sunday night, proving the post-Rick Grimes era of the show is holding steady through four episodes.
The Walking Dead's first episode of 2019 delivered a 2.0 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, with 1.1 million viewers in the demo. The age range of 25-54 posted a 2.5 rating, totalling 1.3 million viewers. The total viewership sat at 5.2 million viewers, which is a 1 percent increase from Episode 9x08.
‘The Walking Dead’ Season 9 Is Highest-Rated Season on Rotten TomatoesThe Walking Dead Season Nine has emerged as the highest-rated run of the show on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
Its 93 percent topples Season Five, the previous series best with 89 percent, surpassing Season Three and One (both 88 percent), Season Four (83 percent), Season Two (81 percent), Season Six (77 percent), Season Eight (64 percent), and Season Seven, the lowest-rated at 63 percent “fresh.”
The rejuvenated zombie drama has benefited from longtime writer-producer Angela Kang’s transition to showrunner, taking over from five-season showrunner Scott Gimple, who exited that position following his own promotion to Walking Dead chief content officer for network AMC.
Working alongside series veteran directors Greg Nicotero and Michael E. Satrazemis are an influx of new talents, including series newcomer Meera Menon — director of 911, ‘Bounty’ — and first-time director Michael Cudlitz, who previously starred as Abraham Ford before returning this season as director on 907, ‘Stradivarius.’
Oscars: ‘The Walking Dead’ and Film Star Scott Wilson Left Out of Oscars In MemoriamProlific film and television actor Scott Wilson, perhaps best known for starring as Hershel Greene in The Walking Dead, was not included in the Oscars’ In Memoriam montage aired during Sunday’s ceremony.
Long before he joined the zombie drama in its sophomore season in 2011, Wilson made memorable appearances in The Ninth Configuration, In Cold Blood, and 1974’s The Great Gatsby.
The star made his feature film debut opposite Sidney Poitier in 1967’s In the Heat of the Night, the Norman Jewison-directed film that won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
Wilson passed away at the age of 76 in October after a battle with leukemia. He died just one day before The Walking Dead premiered its ninth season, where Wilson briefly reprised his role as Hershel in the sendoff episode for Rick Grimes star Andrew Lincoln.
“Scott will always be remembered as a great actor, and we all feel fortunate to have known him as an even better person. The character he embodied on The Walking Dead, Hershel, lived at the emotional core of the show,” an AMC spokesperson said in a statement issued after Wilson’s death.
“Like Scott in our lives, Hershel was a character whose actions continue to inform our characters’ choices to this day. Our hearts go out to his wife, family, friends and to the millions of fans who loved him. Scott will be missed.”
Wilson was remembered in January during the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards’ In Memoriam. That montage sampled a clip from The Walking Dead 403, ‘Isolation,’ in which Hershel declares his intention to help the gravely sick despite the great risk to himself.
Greg Nicotero, who directed what would prove to be Wilson’s last appearance in November’s ‘What Comes After,’ previously confirmed Wilson viewed his final scene before his passing and “he was so grateful.”
“He had tears in his eyes when he watched it and he was so proud,” Nicotero said in October.
“Hershel... he did so much for the show and it was a great opportunity again paying tribute to the fans and giving them an episode of The Walking Dead unlike anything they have ever seen.
“Scott was such a dear friend of mine. I can’t tell you how happy I am that we were able to get him back for the show and how happy I am personally that I was able to show him that scene and he was able to enjoy the magic he was able to create.”
Oscars viewers were also upset after the ceremony snubbed Verne Troyer and R. Lee Ermey, among others, who were not included in a montage that paid tribute to such industry figures as Penny Marshall, Burt Reynolds, Margot Kidder, and Stan Lee.
Why the Third 'Walking Dead' Series Will Breathe New Life Into the FranchiseRecently it was announced that AMC is producing a third series in the Walking Dead universe, which will air in 2020. This new series will reportedly follow two young female protagonists, who bear the distinction of being from the first generation of people raised in the zombie apocalypse. AMC Entertainment president Sarah Barnett has already stated that the goal is (in part) to explore, "more stories to be told in our world about complicated women."
While this announcement has been viewed as exciting news by the Walking Dead die-hard fans, there are also those who feel the franchise (at least the TV side) is losing at lot of steam. The last two seasons of The Walking Dead have seen series leads Rick and Carl Grimes both leave / get killed off; big supporting characters like Maggie and Jesus have also stepped away; while the upcoming season 10 will see Michonne stepping away, as well. The first spinoff show Fear the Walking Dead has had to go through a complete soft reboot of its concept and cast, after struggling to capture the same audience as the master series.
While there is indeed an argument to be made that The Walking Dead should die off, this new series concept is actually one that could revitalize the series in a big way. How do we know? Because it basically is tapping on one of the most consistently successful elements of the franchise!
