So, this was so unexpected I found out when Elspeth Cooper congratulated me on twitter

I have a nom for best newcomer in the BFS awards (along with the glorious Laura Lam and Emma Newman)

I shall be over here, being shell shocked.

    Congrats. :)

Sometimes I forget how quickly you had to get the Fade To Black series out. :)

It wasn't so quick in the end Brian -- I had 18 months (iirc) to write two books -- thy came out close together but I had a fair bit of time before hand to write them. - I handed in book 3 the same week Fade came out. So not that quick considering I was only working part time. 1000 words a day did the trick.

Trying to do the same while working full time is...more challenging :D

    Thanks guys!

    Huzzah (throws hat into air)

Hopefully soon to be one among many (if it's not already)

(watches forlornly as hat is blown into Martin section and destroyed by wild fire)

A 'nom de plume'? (drags brain back from translating it as 'noun' or 'name')
