Stag Night

Random weapon fire burned and destroyed cities.
Their erratic and confusing battle plan was effective and deadly.
Millions died.
With Earth’s defences defeated, alien ships land, setting down on the lawn of the White House.
The President leaves his bunker and steps forth.
An Alien stumbles out, falling, crawling even, before regaining its feet.
‘What do you want?’ demands our brave defeated President.
Swaying, burping and hiccupping, the Alien speaks. ‘Take me to your strippers.’

I Need Your Help

To remain as inconspicuous as possible, I am submitting here to alert you that your planet is in grave danger.

My species has targeted it as an additional home world due to overpopulation on our own.

They are coming for me. I do not have much time left.

There is a device to save your world. You simply need to push the button on it.

It is hidden under the old

One Chicken - Two Chickens

Taking over Earth, a joke. The humans, pathetic. Where now were their vaunted armies, their rumoured secret weapons? Crushed! Grand Marshall Granath, most disappointed, sent his battalions onward. Perhaps the next planet would provide better sport. Meanwhile, he deployed his garrison.

The prototype time launchers could only manage to project three months, so it wasn't long before the humans appeared from nowhere to take back strategic points, and the real battle for Earth began.

THE LAST TRUTH

The aliens said we needn't worry about cancer. They promised not to strip humanity's resources. They told the truth: we've no time for cancer to take us, or the resources to be farmed - an alien has to eat, after all.

Our pastors caught them in a lie; I have lost my faith in the face of death ahead. I wish the aliens were right, for I need you with me, Lord. Can't you please stay?

The New World

*pring-pring* Her atomic rifle sounded like an old-fashioned telephone ringing, its erupting beams scything through the oddly-shaped beings--old, infirm, young--fleeing their burning dwellings (these resembled enormous, woven toadstools). The other natives had already been killed. *pring*

She waved to her marine husband, firing nearby--how she loved the man! The joy he would feel when he learned of her pregnancy! *pring-pring* And this world, a new home for junior.

SKIP

Rigel Barage, adjusted his tentacle and coughed “Those without tentacles come to our planet. And why do they come?”

“Why?” His public waved their apendages in response.

“To rape and pillage our wives.” In full flow, he smiled in triumph.

Next to him Mrs Barage said, “Darling...”

“Yes dear.” Rigel’s focus was elsewhere.

“…got a bigger space ship,” Mrs Barage let go of his hand and left with her tentacle free lover.

Meanwhile, back at the secwet institute:

- What news of the alien you dissected, Doctor Fowler ?

-

- Physically they’re just like us, but their brains are just weird. And they never sleep.

-

- Nothing can stop them. Some of them have got ray guns.

-

- We know, Penny. We’re getting reports from all over the world.

-

- HOWARD ! WHERE’S MY KILL-O-ZAP ?

-

- Any ideas Raj ?

-

- Their uniforms are pretty.

-

- Their jokes are just awful and they call themselves the Chrons !

Manipulators from Mars

Jimmy saw the meteorite crash.

He spied a farmer growing pods and a dog with a human face.

Jimmy told his Pa, but Pa was hostile.

So he ran to the Astronomer's house.

"Dr Blake! What's happening?"

"Manipulators! From Mars! Come to preach communism and destruction. I’ve a plan to grant us victory!"

Jimmy grinned. "I’ll get Aunt Susan who studied Microbiology. She’ll help defeat the Manipulators."

"Defeat my brothers?" Blake screamed, raising his finger.

Invasion of the Mind

Submit... Serve the Masters...

The compelling, crippling whispers forced their way into my mind.

Serve us…

“Fight it Ari!” Diane cried as I stiffened, face contorted and conflicted. We had seen it happen to so many, and it always ended the same; mindless servitude.

I fought desperately, but the presence only penetrated deeper.

“Fight it!!”

Suddenly I felt a strange emptiness.

I observed Diane blankly. Voice hollow, I replied: “I must serve the Masters.”

Invasion

They came. They saw. They conquered.

The aliens were tall, their muscles puny, their feet so soft they needed sandals. But they made weapons and shields of better strength, lightness and sharpness than ours.

They won battles, became our leaders, kings, emperors.

We asked where they came from. Only one told us, secretly. They were from our future, travelled back in time to flee an enemy from the stars.

Together we became the Roman Empire.

Johnny Got A Gun

They came from outer space. Once transformed from their hideous visage they moved amongst.

Only Johnny knew the truth, but who listens to a boy?

Within a year our world was theirs.

So began the resistance.

Throughout the decades of terrible conflict Johnny taught the survivors to fight back, until victory was ours.

Johnny wanted nothing more than quiet, peaceful seclusion. But the tattered remnants of humanity still needed a leader.

They needed, John Connor.

In the End, Does Anyone Win a War?

It was simple for them to do. Spaceships that outclassed ours, protections even our best defenses could not damage, and weapons not even dreamed of.

Three days is all it took for our planet to be conquered. But some of us had a plan.

We took one of their battleships and aimed its deadliest weapon, a cannon capable of a GRB.

Time to eliminate the alien occupation. Time to destroy Earth.

3.6896061e+17 light years too far.

The sky turned dark that day;

Clouds stormed low over the cityscape.

Then, in a dazzling display of lights, a shape appeared.

Like a disco ball it spun and hummed and people screamed,

The army braced their fingers upon triggers.

With a hiss the door lowered and a shadow rose,

A hush covered the crowd and then-

docked in satin flares and tie dye sequins,

The Aliens spoke:

"Sorry we're late. We're here to party."

If at first you don't conquer Earth...

Nathan, the lead archaeologist, is shaking: “It’s incredible professor! An automatic rifle, dating from 500 BC!”

‘Professor Paebodie’ shrugs, and draws a maser pistol. One invisible shot silently cooks Nathan’s uncomprehending brain in its skull.

The vast, inhuman, mind controlling Paebodie considers Nathans news as he cools: So, the first expedition did successfullypossess human leaders, built superior weapons... they still failed. Onto plan B.

But first… dialling the maser to maximum... the other archaeologists…

Power Players

“Mr. President, the Joint Chiefs recommend letting them invade.”

“Are you serious?” asked State.

“Yes, Ma’am, the troops are really excited about it.”

“Mr. President, General Dempsey is a sexist.”

“The Secretary of Interior agrees with me.”

“We all know which way she swings, Martin.”

“I think we should fight,” offered the Attorney General.

“Did your wife tell you to say that?”

“Maybe…”

“As President,” the others silenced, “I’ll contact the Amazonians personally.”

Bury My Heart

The white man took away our land and killed the bison. Our priests taught us the Ghost Dance, to stop the white man's bullets. It did not work.

Now, in a place far across the ocean, people from the red star have come to the white man's land. They move across their fields in giant machines and burn their crops with spears of light. I hope the white man's priests are wiser than ours were.

Lost in translation

The battle had come to a stalemate after an improvised rocket blew up a mothership. They deciphered our language within days and conveniently picked up English to communicate. They called for a meeting in Cardiff, of all places, to explain their destruction to the BBC.

"This is retaliation." The drone explained.
"You invaded us!"
"No, you did. We found proof of the blue box on this planet."
"What?"
"No, Who."

Alien Invasion Gets Panned.

"Brothers, warriors of Kral. Yet again destiny calls. Yet again we welcome death or glory! This mighty war machine puts down on the blue planet this very day! Let us bring them bloody war! Let us bring them destruction! Let us wreak havoc – because we can! None can stand against us! We are the Kral!"

––

“Timmy, where did you get that?”

“Rover brought it in, mummy.”

“Put it down – no, not down the toilet!”

For the Love of the Game

It came to me in the dark. I’d been sleeping in my Galactica pajamas, so I think it took me for a soldier.

With a touch to my face it showed me the world if I helped them.

My parents chained beside my teachers, working the soil for these beings.

I’d be a pink skinned Prince among these grey creatures.

Hell, I’d just been cut from the baseball team. What else mattered?
